2016 Samsung TVs & A2 Recorder (Superbox) - a special note

2016 Samsung TVs* and the Dish TV A2 Recorder could not be updated to the required software version. This means onscreen notifications could not be displayed before TVNZ OnDemand shows were removed.

After Monday 28 June, you may still see TVNZ OnDemand shows if you're accessing Freeview On Demand with the A2 Recorder.  Those TVNZ OnDemand shows won't have any episodes that you can play.  To watch them, you'll need to go to tvnz.co.nz or use the TVNZ OnDemand app. 

Both the 2016 Samsung Smart TV and the Dish TV A2 Recorder have access to the TVNZ OnDemand app.

*Only the Freeview On Demand app on 2016 Samsung TVs is affected (this is the app you access from where you get all your other apps).  Freeview On Demand built-in to 2016 Samsung Smart TVs have been updated and will be working as it should (that's the version you get when you watch any Live TV channels).
