Why are they channels changing?

This change completes the Freeview channel realignment that began in 2022 and allows new channels to be introduced more easily now and in the future. 

Moving to the channel 10 spot makes the Te Reo channel more accessible for audiences. It’s also easier to find, and therefore makes te reo Māori more accessible to a wider audience in Aotearoa.
