A FAREWELL TO ON DEMAND
It’s been a good run, but our On Demand service is set to end on 12 December 2022.
You won't be able to watch shows on demand through Freeview after that,
but you can still watch them on ThreeNow, Māori+ and RNZ, wherever they're available. And of course, many of the same shows can still be enjoyed live, as they're broadcast.
EVERYTHING ELSE IS STILL HERE.
Live TV channels and other Freeview features won't be affected in any way.
You can still enjoy all the same channels and the 8-day TV Guide on Freeview.
If you have a Freeview Recorder, you'll still be able to record any broadcast to watch at your leisure.
And yes, everything on Freeview remains free of charge.
AND SOMETHING NEW IS COMING...
As our On Demand service comes to an end, we'll be rolling out
new features on our Smart TV app
across a wide range of 2017+ TVs.
Good things are abrewing.
Watch this space!
WHERE CAN I GET ON DEMAND AFTER 12 DEC?
Currently, our On Demand service simply pulls together shows from ThreeNow, Māori+ and RNZ.
After the service ends, you can still watch all of those shows on demand
with the ThreeNow app, the Māori+ app, and on the RNZ website.*
To watch shows from Three, Bravo, HGTV, eden and Rush, go to ThreeNow or use the ThreeNow app.
To watch shows from Whakaata Māori, go to Māori+ or use the Māori+ app.
To enjoy RNZ shows, go to www.rnz.co.nz/series. You’ll find a great range of podcasts there too!
HOW DO I KNOW WHERE TO FIND THE SHOWS I'M WATCHING NOW?
When you go to watch a show in Freeview On Demand, check out the logo on the show page.
If you see Three, Bravo, HGTV, eden or Rush on the show page, you’ll find it on the ThreeNow app.
If you see the Whakaata Māori logo on the show page, you’ll find the show on Māori+.
If the RNZ logo is displayed on the show page, you’ll find the show on the RNZ website.
* Based on information gathered from the broadcasters about where their shows are currently available, as at 26 September 2022.
Content and channels on Freeview are subject to change at the broadcasters' discretion. See Freeview Terms of Use for full details.
